ATLANTA – During the hearing on HB 481 that would ban abortion, a substitute bill was introduced that, in addition to banning abortion, would create new legal rights in all respects including the census, taxes, and child support starting at the time cardiac activity becomes detectable.
“This bill has Big Government criminalizing the most intimate decision women and couples make and flies in the face of 50 years of U.S. Supreme Court precedent,” said Andrea Young, Executive Director of the ACLU of Georgia.
