“I Got 5 On It” is a joint get out the vote (GOTV) campaign from the ACLU of Georgia and Southern Poverty Law Center Georgia during the 2024 election season. Our goal is simple - we want to help make sure as many people as possible show up to vote during Early Voting and on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov 5, 2024.

Where can I check my voter registration status?

To check your voter status, go to My Voter Page and follow the instructions.

What forms of government ID do I bring to vote in-person?

  • Any valid state or federal government-issued photo ID, including a free ID card issued by your county registrar’s office or the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS)
  • A Georgia Driver’s License (even if expired)
  • Valid US Passport ID
  • Valid US Military photo ID
  • Valid Tribal photo ID
  • Valid employee photo ID from any branch, department, agency, or entity of the US Government, Georgia, or any county, municipality, board, authority, or other entity of the state.

How do I know my polling location?

You can find your polling location on your My Voter Page, the Georgia Secretary of State's website. 

If you go to a polling place on Election Day but are still unsure it is your correct precinct, there should be an Election worker at the door who can confirm you're at the right precinct.

What do I do if I have an issue voting?

What are the polling place hours?

Polls are open from 7:00 am until 7:00 pm on Election Day. Any voter who is waiting in line to vote at 7:00 pm will be allowed to vote.

For early voting, times vary by location so make sure you check your early voting polling place's hours before you vote.

When is the deadline to register to vote?

The voter registration deadline is 30 days before the election. Mail in registration must be postmarked by this deadline to be eligible to vote in the upcoming elections.

You can now register to vote online here. You must have a valid driver's license or ID card with a signature on file with DDS in order to complete the registration online.
