ACLU of Georgia testimony on Senate Bill 266, a bill that harms the State’s transgender youth and violates Title IX, a federal law banning sex discrimination in education

“This extreme bill is out-of-step with prevailing international and national norms of athletic competition, violates the United States Constitution and federal civil rights law, puts Georgia at risk of losing hundreds of millions of dollars in federal funding, and harms our State’s transgender youth,” said Christopher Bruce, political director of the ACLU of Georgia.
