Press Statement: ACLU of Georgia Disappointed the Secretary of State is Unwilling to Grant Due Process to Georgia Citizens Who Vote By Absentee Ballot
ATLANTA – In response to the Secretary of State’s motion for the district court to stay its temporary restraining order guaranteeing due process for Georgia citizens who vote by absentee ballot, the ACLU of Georgia provides the following statement.
“We are disappointed that the Secretary of State is unwilling to grant due process to Georgia citizens who vote by absentee ballot,” stated Andrea Young, Executive Director of the ACLU of Georgia. “We will continue to defend the rights of Georgia voters.”
