SB29 – VOTER ID for ABSENTEE BALLOTS

Summary: Requires Georgia voters who vote absentee/by-mail to submit photocopies of their personal photo identification along with both their 1) absentee ballot application and 2) ballot itself in order to have their vote counted. For both the application and ballot, the voter’s county elections office must verify that the information on the photocopied identification matches the voter’s information on file.
