Stand for Justice – Support the Georgia Civil Rights Act on March 4

RSVP FOR LOBBY DAY

Every Georgian deserves equal protection under the law. Yet, our state currently lacks comprehensive civil rights protections that ensure fairness in employment, housing, public accommodations, and law enforcement accountability. That’s why we’re mobilizing on Tuesday, March 4 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. for our Georgia Civil Rights Lobby Day—to fight for the passage of the Georgia Civil Rights Act.

The Georgia Civil Rights Act will:

  • Ban discrimination in employment, housing, and public spaces based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, and more
  • Create accountability measures for law enforcement to prevent racial profiling and civil rights violations
  • Protect whistleblowers and individuals who report discrimination from retaliation
  • Align Georgia with other Southern states that have already enacted similar protections

You will be part of a powerful coalition of advocates from the ACLU of Georgia, League of Women Voters of Georgia, NAACP Georgia State Conference, and the Urban League of Greater Atlanta. The Legacy Table seeks to uplift the shared legacy of our organizations championing justice and equity in Georgia for more than half a century. This is our chance to push Georgia forward and ensure equal rights for all. Let’s stand together and demand justice.
