SPLC, ACLU-GA, Education and Civil Rights Activists Oppose Classroom Censorship
ATLANTA, Ga. – On Thursday, April 28, Gov. Brian Kemp will sign a series of education bills, including one that censors discussion and information about race and racism in K-12 schools. Civil rights and education advocates, educators, parents and student representatives will respond to the bill signing during a press conference at 10:00 a.m. ET.
The SPLC Action Fund and ACLU-GA will also announce a resource to allow students, parents and educators to provide information on how the new law impacts learning.
