“Rather than protecting constitutional rights, SB 171 would result in overbroad and vague laws that restrict our First and Fourteenth Amendment rights. Similar restrictions, like HB1 out of Florida, have already been blocked by federal judges due to the same constitutional concerns that arise out of SB 171,” said Christopher Bruce, ACLU of Georgia policy and advocacy director.
