Press Statement: ACLU of Georgia Deeply Disappointed Legislation Aimed at BLM Protests Becomes Law
“We’re deeply disappointed that the governor would allow legislation of this sort to go into law. Georgia code already includes protections for police. This terrible bill was drafted as a direct swipe at Georgians’ participating in the Black Lives Matter protests who are asserting for their constitutional rights,” said Andrea Young, executive director of the ACLU of Georgia.
