ATLANTA – Today, a federal judge denied the AME v Kemp Defendants’ motion to dismiss the ACLU’s challenge to Georgia’s anti-voter law (SB 202).

“We are encouraged by the Court’s decision to proceed with the challenge against Georgia’s anti-voter law (SB 202). The Court rejected every single one of the Defendants’ arguments to dismiss our lawsuit. Georgia’s anti-voter law makes it harder to vote for Georgia’s citizens of color and citizens with disabilities, and we look forward to fighting this law in court,” Rahul Garabadu, voting rights staff attorney of the ACLU of Georgia.
