ATLANTA – The ACLU of Georgia extends its support of the The Southern Student Rights Appeal and the coalition of Georgia students' working towards racial, social, and educational equity. Today at 1:45pm, Georgia students will deliver demand letters to lawmakers as part of The Southern Student Rights Appeal to advocate for “fully funded, uncensored education, access to the ballot-box and inclusive leadership that does not target marginalized children”.

ACLU of Georgia Executive Director Andrea Young states: “Sixty-two years ago the Atlanta Student Movement issued a call to the conscience of this community's leaders. Today, we are proud to support the call of a new generation- calling on Georgia's leaders to support a multi-cultural, multi-racial, and inclusive democracy in our state.”
